This proposal outlines the development of a bottling plant on the King’s Royal Estate near the natural spring on ‘Eua Island, Tonga. The project aims to improve Tonga’s water security by harnessing the abundant freshwater resources of ‘Eua Island. Addressing the recurring water shortages intensified by natural disasters, the project aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
Objectives
Strengthen National Water Security: Access to water for all communities across Tonga to complement reliance on tank water especially in remote areas and bolster national water resilience.
Establish a Bottling Facility: Build a modern bottling plant to utilize ‘Eua Island’s spring water, ensuring a reliable supply of clean drinking water.
